What is a money Kitty?
A money Kitty is a shared pot a group pays into, then spends from together. KittyCard makes it digital, with a shared balance and a card for each spender, so nobody has to front the bill.
How does KittyCard work?
Create a Kitty and invite your group with a link. Everyone tops up from their own account, then the people you choose spend from the Kitty with a KittyCard, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Every payment shows up in the Kitty chat.
Do my friends need the app?
To pay in or spend, yes, and they’ll need to verify their ID. In a Smart Kitty you can still add people who aren’t on the app to splits and settle up with them directly.
Can I use KittyCard to split costs afterwards, like Splitwise?
Yes. A Smart Kitty also tracks costs someone paid outside the Kitty, splits them equally or your way, and works out the fewest payments to settle everyone up.
How much does KittyCard cost?
Some things have fees, such as certain card spending, withdrawals and currency conversion. You can see every fee on our Fees page. [CONFIRM]
Is my money safe?
Accounts are provided by ClearBank Ltd. You can freeze a card in the app, approve online payments, and our team watches for anything unusual. [CONFIRM]
